About the club

Who weare.

A newly registered, volunteer-led organization with a simple belief: sport and service build stronger communities.

Our story

Built by St. Albert,
for St. Albert.

STARS Club — the St. Albert Recreation & Sports Cultural Club — started with a small group of neighbours who wanted more accessible ways to play, connect, and support one another. Today we're a growing, volunteer-led community organization serving St. Albert and the surrounding area.

We promote physical activity and sports development for youth and adults, encourage active lifestyles, and give back through social services, charitable initiatives, and volunteer-led programs — supporting seniors, differently abled individuals, and anyone in need.

Good to know

Club rules &
terms, briefly.

The full Terms & Conditions cover all members and guests — here are the highlights.

Members participate at their own risk and must follow safety guidelines from facility staff, coaches, and coordinators. Anyone with health concerns or injuries should inform the club before participating.

Members are expected to behave respectfully and protect facilities and equipment. Water bottles are permitted in the school gyms; no other food or drink, and no smoking, vaping, or alcohol. The club and the City of St. Albert aren't liable for personal items lost or damaged on site.

Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Adults may drop off youth aged 13–16, but parents/guardians remain responsible for their child's safety — the club does not provide childcare or supervision.

Monthly members pay by the 1st of each month; annual members by January 1st. Fees are non-refundable unless stated otherwise. Members may cancel with two weeks' written notice, and may freeze a membership for months they can't attend.

Only clean indoor footwear (or bare feet) is allowed on the gym courts — outdoor shoes stay at the entrance, and socks alone aren't permitted. Members and guests may not use facility equipment beyond what's provided for play, and net standards must be returned to storage after use.

Members release the club and the City of St. Albert from liability for injury, property damage, or loss, and agree to indemnify the club for losses caused by their own actions. Everyone is responsible for cleaning up after themselves and their guests.
